Harvest could lower Washington marijuana prices
YAKIMA, Wash. — Some retailers of recreational marijuana in Washington hope they’ll be able to lower prices when the harvest comes in from outdoor growers.
One of those growers is Life Gardens near Ellensburg where marijuana is grown under plastic tarps that let in fresh air and sunlight. Owner Greta Carter told Yakima Herald-Republic “It’s just another crop.”
Retailers have been looking for more supplies since pot sales became legal in the state.
The owner of one store in Union Gap, Mary Van de Graff, of Mill Creek Suite A, says a better supply of regulated marijuana would allow lower prices to compete with cheaper black market drug dealing.
