Gusty winds blowing in changes for Wednesday -Kris
It is a windy evening across the Inland Northwest! Gusts of up to 35 mph are blowing through the Spokane area, and they could get a little stronger overnight. A cold front passage is responsible for kicking up the winds, and the front will also bring cooler weather for Wednesday, a few valley rain showers in the Northeast Mountains and North Idaho and mountain snow to the Panhandle. The gusty winds will continue through Wednesday morning. Otherwise, Wednesday will be sunny and cooler with highs in the mid 40s. That’s just about average.
Temperatures will be back in the 50s for Thursday and Friday, but there’s cooler and wetter weather ahead for the weekend. After some light rain on Friday night, a mix of rain and snow is on the way for Saturday. There’s the possibility of some snow accumulation in the valleys, but most of it will be in the mountains.
