Gunman robs Kittitas Public Library
An armed man robbed the Kittitas Public Library of about $20 in cash and also took the librarian’s wallet.
Police Chief Brent Nierman says the librarian was alone Tuesday afternoon when the man entered with a hood cinched up around his face. He threatened her with a gun, took the money and left.
The Daily Record reports police, county deputies and state troopers quickly responded and searched the area with a police dog, but the gunman got away.
Nierman says the librarian was calm through the incident and remembered details that help with the investigation.
