Groups drop off coats, other supplies for homeless ahead of cold week

Dozens and dozens of homeless people will be warmer this week thanks to help from two local groups.

On Saturday, True Midnight Cry Outreach Ministries from Bonners Ferry, Idaho and Spokane’s Jewels Helping Hands teamed up to bring a trailer full of clothes, blankets, and other supplies to homeless people.

They dropped of items at a hotel where a Spokane charitable foundation paid for some rooms for homeless people. The volunteers also went to the warming center on Cannon Street to help people there.
