Green Bluff’s 40th Annual Cherry Pickers Trot fun for the whole family
MEAD, Wash. — The Green Bluff Growers’ is hosting the 40th annual Cherry Pickers Trot Thursday evening. While there’s always something happening up at Green Bluff, this is the only fundraiser for the association that helps to provide maps and other marketing year-round.
The event “hub” is in the area near the Grange and Harvest House (the intersection of Day Mt. Spokane Road and Greenbluff Roard). There, you can sign up for the 4-mile race through the orchards, try and break the record for furthest “Pit Spit” and enjoy some delicious food and music.
The 4-mile race is $15 while the Tot Trot version for kids is free. Commemorative t-shirts, pies and cherries will also be for sale at the event. Parking at Harvest House is free. The Growers’ Association recommends arriving early, as they expect close to 2,000 people to participate.
Registration begins at 5pm for the race. The Tot Trot begins at 5:30 p.m. followed by the 4-mile race at 7 p.m.
