Gordon Dean Beyer

Gordon Dean Beyer, 52, a resident of Potlatch, ID passed away late Tuesday evening February 6, 2018 at Gritman Medical Center in Moscow, ID.
Dean was born on June 19, 1965 at St. Maries, ID to Gordon M. and Sherry L. (Brown) Beyer. He attended his schooling at St. Maries, ID and Potlatch, ID. He also went on to earn welding certifications at LCSC in Lewiston, ID.
Dean married Kristiana Jones on May 2, 1986 at Coeur d’Alene, ID and the couple made their home at Potlatch. ID where they raised three wonderful kids that he was so proud of Steven, Elaina, and Aarohn.
Dean worked for local Garfield, WA farmers where he learned to drive semi-truck. Dean started working in 1998 for Wm V. Lowry & Son driving logging truck. He also worked for Wilbur Ellis hauling chemicals, driving chip truck for Bennett lumber and finally driving logging truck for Hansen Logging at Harvard, ID until health reasons force him to retire. He so hated to have to retire because driving logging truck was always his “dream” job and he loved it and was exceptional at it. Dean also was a hard worker no matter what job he was doing and put in many long hours.
Dean loved to work on cars. He also loved to hunt and fish. But most of all he loved his family and grandkids. He always put their interests and well being above his own. He was always the life of the party and you knew when he was around. He will be so missed by his family and there is now a huge hole in our lives.
Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Kristiana Beyer at the Potlatch home, two sons, Steven Beyer and his companion Courtney Jewett, Moscow, ID, Aarohn Beyer, Potlatch, ID, one daughter, Elainalynn Andres (CJ), Potlatch, ID, 4 sisters, Shirley Mooney, Portland, OR area, Lynda Rustand, Moscow, ID, Sherry Allery and Peggy Fortner both of Genesee, ID. Dean is also survived by his six grandchildren: Brielle, Ella and Brooklynn Beyer; Kaiden and Rhylynn Andres; and Carter Hamilton who he thought of as his own. He always enjoyed playing with them and riling them up to their parents dismay. He is also survived by Connie Jones, Joyce Estes, Sandy Ornelas, and Amanda Bedont. He was preceded in death by one brother, Donald Beyer and both his parents.
A celebration of Dean’s life will be announced at a later date.
