Gonzaga Wins WCC Title, Headed to NCAA Tournament

Las Vegas, Nev. — For the 18th straight year the Gonzaga Bulldogs are headed to the NCAA Tournament. The Zags punched their ticket Tuesday night thanks to an 85-75 win over St. Mary’s in the West Coast Conference championship game.
All five Gonzaga starters scored in double figures led by Senior guard Eric McClellan with 20. Kyle Wiltjer added 17, and Domantis Sabonis had 15 points and 8 rebounds.
Gonzaga shot the ball very well all night long finishing at 61.7% from the field and 21-22 from the free throw line.
Many believed Gonzaga needed to win the Conference title in order to keep their NCAA tournament streak alive, so they did just that.
Gonzaga finishes the season with a 26-7 record and will wait until Selection Sunday this weekend to see where they will play and what seed they will receive.
