SPOKANE, Wash. — No. 18 Gonzaga will host Washington in a battle between in-state programs on Friday.

This is the first meeting between the teams since 2019 in which Gonzaga won 83-76, in Seattle.

The game was also during Drew Timme’s freshman season in which he scored four points and four rebounds against the Huskies.

“We’re going to have to buckle down and double down and really fight and bring that grit because they’re going to want to obviously compete for the top team in the state,” Timme said.

The Huskies lead the all-time series 29-19. Gonzaga has won 13 of the last 14 matchups, including the last six matchups dating back to 2005.

Tip off is scheduled for 6 p.m. from McCarthey Athletic Center.
