Gonzaga set to honor Adam Morrison Thursday night

SPOKANE, Wash. — The no. 3 ranked Gonzaga Bulldogs are hoping to lock up their first national title in the near future, but Thursday night they will pause their season to honor one of the best in their past.  Adam Morrison will have his jersey put in the rafters next to Frank Burgess and John Stockton.

Morrison was the ultimate competitor in his days in a Bulldog uniform who’s firey antics earned him respect on the home floor, and jeering on the road.

Morrison’s Junior year he led the nation in scoring, he was named the national player of the year, and he left to the NBA as he was selected third overall.

The former Mead Panther grew up a Gonzaga fan, and he’s still a Gonzaga fan giving current players advice and providing color for the team’s radio broadcast.
