Gonzaga defends number one ranking with blowout over Detroit Mercy

A week off for Christmas didn’t slow down the no. 1 ranked Gonzaga Bulldogs as they take care of business at home over Detroit Mercy 93-72 Monday night.

Filip Petrusev led the Zags with 22 points to go along with 6 rebounds.  Senior guard Ryan Woolridge was nearly perfect on the night scoring 21 points on 7-9 shooting, was 4-5 from behind the arc, nd 3-4 from the free throw line.  Woolridge also had 8 assists and 6 rebounds.

The Bulldogs were playing without Killian Tillie who appears to be resting for load managment purposes.

Gonzaga improves to 14-1 on the season, they now move into WCC play at Portland Thursday night.
