Gas prices falling across the Inland Northwest

SPOKANE, Wash. — If driving in this weather is giving you some problems, you can feel a bit better by paying less for gas at the pump.

Across the Inland Northwest, gas prices have been getting cheaper and cheaper.

According to AAA, gas prices across the country have an average price of $3.262 a gallon. The average price for gas across the country was $3.783 a gallon a month ago.

Here are the national average gas prices for other types of fuel:

Mid-grade: $3.705
Premium: $4.011
Diesel: $4.917
E85: $2.664

Gas prices have also gone down here in Spokane, but they are still higher than the national average. According to AAA, the average price for regular gas is $3.842 a gallon for regular fuel. Mid fuel costs $4.095 a gallon, premium fuel costs $4.279 a gallon and diesel fuel costs $5.153 a gallon. A month ago, it cost $4.477 a gallon to fill up your tank in Spokane.

Here are other average gas prices for other Washington counties.

Lincoln County: $3.819 a gallon
Pend Oreille County: $3.809 a gallon
Stevens County: $3.614 a gallon
Adams County: $3.882 a gallon
Whitman County: $4.062 a gallon
Grant County: $3.775 a gallon

Gas prices are still cheaper in Idaho. The average price for gas in Idaho is $3.805 a gallon. Mid-grade gas averages out to $4.046 a gallon, premium gas averages at $4.252 a gallon and diesel averages at $5.515 a gallon. It cost $4.272 a gallon to fill up your tank in Idaho a month ago.

In Coeur d’Alene, the average price for regular gas is $3.788 a gallon. This is just over 47 cents cheaper than what it was a month ago ($4.265 a gallon). Mid-grade gas cost $4.018 a gallon, premium gas costs $4.214 a gallon and diesel gas costs $5.466 a gallon.
