Fundraisers throughout February to benefit businesses damaged in Coeur d’Alene fire

COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho — Restaurants and coffee shops across Coeur d’Alene are stepping up to help the businesses affected by a fire last month.
Schmidty’s Burgers, Heart City Tattoo, Cole Taylor Salon, Emerge, 720 Haberdashery and Farmers Insurance were all severely damaged in the fire on January 20. Firefighters still have not been able to determine a cause of the fire due to the severity of the damage.
Despite that, the Coeur d’Alene community has continued to move forward and will be hosting a series of fundraisers throughout February that will directly benefit those at the center of the travesty.
The following events will donate proceeds to help rebuild:
February 4 – Cosmic Cowboy Grill – Tacos and Tees starting at 4 p.m, 10 cents of every taco sold will be donated
February 5 – McKenzie River Pizza – event for Schmidty’s Burgers, 20 percent of sales will be donated
February 8 – Calypsos Coffee Roasters – Tacos and live music
February 9 – Honey Eatery and Social Club – three-course family style dinner and auction. All proceeds will be donated.
February 9 – Las Chavelas – Taco bar fundraiser for 720 Haberdashery
February 15 – Coeur d’Alene Bike Co.’s – Help Heart City event.
