Free Swim Week returns to Spokane area pools during the month of August

SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. — August heat is well under way and the Spokane Parks Foundation will help area residents cool off by funding free swim days at area pools from August 17 through 22.
The six free swim days are funded thanks to large and small donations from across the greater Spokane area.
The free swim week schedule is as follows:
Monday August 17: 1 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at A.M. Cannon Aquatic Center (City of Spokane)
Tuesday, August 18: 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Valley Mission Pool (Spokane Valley)
Wednesday, August 19: 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Hillyard Aquatic Center (City of Spokane)
Thursday, August 20: 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Cheney Outdoor Pool (City of Cheney)
Friday, August 21: 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Northside Family Aquatics Center (Spokane County)
Saturday, August 21: 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Liberty Aquatic Center (City of Spokane)
“We want every child and every family to have the opportunity to enjoy our area pools this season. The Parks Foundation has already distributed more than 1,700 free pool passes this year,” said Heather Beebe-Stevens, executive director of the Spokane Parks Foundation. “The Free Swim Week is an extension of this effort and helps us to positively impact even more kids and families.”
