Firefighters On Scene Of Mobile Home Fire
SPOKANE — Emergency crews in Spokane responded to a fully involved RV fire Monday morning.
The fire broke out in the 7400 block of North Altamont at about 9:30 a.m.
The owner of the RV says he makes a habit of starting the vehicle up once a month or so during the winter to try and prevent any problems when the cold weather clears. After starting up the RV Monday morning, he walked across the street to a neighbor’s house while leaving the vehicle running.
A few minutes later, the neighbor says he glanced out the front window and noticed smoke coming out of the front of the recreational vehicle. Fire crews responded and were able to put out the flames but not before the RV was destroyed.
An attached garage also received some smoke and fire damage. Cause is under investigation.
