Fire Threatens Radio Towers Near Wenatchee
EAST WENATCHEE, Wash. — Douglas County commissioners declared a state of emergency because a fast-moving wildfire threatened radio towers near Badger Mountain east of Wenatchee.
The wildfire has now covered 2,500 acres.
The action Tuesday night brings state help to the fire that broke out about 5 p.m. and quickly covered hundreds of acres. The smoke was visible from Wenatchee.
