Fire ban to take effect at Lake Roosevelt Recreational Area on Friday

COULEE DAM, Wash. — All fires will be prohibited at the Lake Roosevelt National Recreational Area starting Friday.
The fire ban stems from hazardous conditions. It will stay in effect until further notice.
This includes, but is not limited to, all fires in National Park Service-provided fire rings and boxes, shoreline fires, charcoal fires, tiki torches, incense burners, candles, and propane campfires. Fireworks are also prohibited.
Self-contained propane or gas stoves and lanterns are still allowed during the full fire ban. For information regarding the fire ban in the recreation area, call 509-754-7893.
