Family’s ‘for sale’ sign warns buyers about ‘bully’ neighbor

A Canadian family that put its house on the market posted an unusual “for sale” sign outside the home, warning of a bad neighbor.

“Home for Sale by Owner, Because Neighbor is an A–hole,” was posted outside Kane Blake’s Kelowna home, because as Blake’s mother-in-law, Sharon Gaudry says, the neighbor has been “victimizing, bullying” the family.

Gaudry told Global News the neighbor began harassing the family five years ago. Other residents of the community also say the man is unnecessarily targeting the family.

“He’s just targeted them, he’s accused them of all kinds of things which just aren’t true,” said a neighbor.

Although some community members are offended by the sign, Blake says the reaction has also been positive.

“I’ve had people take photos with the sign, I’ve had cars stop and take pictures the sign, everybody loves it.”

Blake also said despite the select language and sentiment behind the sign, he’s still received offers on the house.
