The air is crisper, the leaves are turning, and the sunlight is starting to soften: It’s fall in the Inland Northwest!

Summer has come and gone, which means it is time to enjoy all the fall activities the region has to offer.

Here are the fall festivals and festivities you will not want to miss.

Valleyfest – September 20-22

Valleyfest returns to Spokane Valley for its 30th year on September 20. Everyone is invited to join in on the fun. The weekend is packed with activities and events for the whole family, including the Hearts of Gold Parade, Step UP for Down Syndrome Walk, car club show and live music. Learn more here.

Inland Northwest Craft Beer Festival – September 20-21

The Inland Northwest Craft Beer Festival takes over Avista Stadium on September 20. Beer-drinkers can taste over 200 beers from 40 different breweries throughout the two-day festival. The weekend kicks off Friday at 4 p.m. and continues into Saturday. Learn more here.

Oktoberfest – Multiple weekends in September and October

Ein Prosit! Raise a glass at one of many Oktoberfest celebrations this fall. The fun begins on September 20 in Couer d’Alene or you can celebrate in Spokane on the 27th. If you really want to go all out, head to the darling Bavarian town of Leavenworth, where Oktoberfest is celebrated for three weeks in October.

Spokane GreekFest – September 26-28

Opa! The 84th annual Greek Festival begins on September 26. Feast on delicious gyros, souvlaki, Greek fries and tomato orzo soup at this year’s event. There will be shops, just like the Agora in Greece, a pastry booth, boutique and tours of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. Learn more here.

Apple Festival – Late September/Early October

Enjoy a locally-grown apple, picked right from the tree! Celebrate one of Washington’s top crops at the Green Bluff Apple Festival. Walk through the orchards and make sure you pick up some homemade apple cider to take home. Learn more here.

Pumpkin Picking at Greenbluff – Late September/Early October

There is no better place to pick up your pumpkin than Green Bluff. Find your way to the corn maze at Beck’s Harvest House, gorge on pumpkin donuts and take home fresh pumpkins and gourds to decorate your home. Learn more here.

Scarywood – Begins October 3

Downtown Spokane Fall Fest – October 5

Downtown Fall Fest returns for the second year with a day full of activities for the whole family. Inside River Park Square, you’ll find a craft patch, picture patch and pet patch. Stroll along Wall Street to visit the country carnival and German cultural beer garden. Enter the chalk art contest, harvest maze and food alley inside Riverfront Park. Learn more here.

Coeur d’Alene Fall Fest and Apple Palooza – October 26

Head to downtown Coeur d’Alene to enjoy an apple tasting, then cast your vote for your favorite! Take a free hay ride, pick up some local harvest produce and listen to live music at this year’s Fall Fest and Apple Palooza. Learn more here.

Spokane Fall Folk Fest – November 9-10
