SPOKANE, Wash. — You will now need to wear masks indoors at the Fairchild Airforce Base.

This applies to service members, Department of Defense civilian employees, onsite DoD contractor personnel and visitors.

Masks will not be needed when actively using workout equipment and when mission requirements dictate for safety and verbal requirements.

The mask requirement will be in place until further notice.

The move comes as cases COVID-19 remain high in Spokane County. The CDC recommends that people in the Spokane area wear masks in efforts to decrease the transmission of COVID-19.
