Extreme Team Day 2: Making progress on Carl Maxey Center’s new library
SPOKANE, Wash. — Another day comes with more additions to the Carl Maxey Center from Mark Peterson and the 4 News Now Extreme Team.
This week, the team is hard at work building a new library for the cultural center.
On Monday, crews began prepping by laying concrete, painting walls, and installing new wiring and plumbing.
On Tuesday, flooring was installed by United Floor Covering, the team installed new cabinets donated by Kitchen Place, and volunteers from Horizon Credit Union helped paint the walls.
The new library was the vision of Sandy Williams, the Carl Maxey Center’s executive director, who was tragically killed in a seaplane crash in September.
It was a busy day, but progress is coming along nicely! Check back tomorrow for the results from Day 3!
