Serious injures reported in single-car crash on Long Lake Road, road blocked

SPOKANE CO., Wash. — Two adults were taken to the hospital, one by LifeFlight, following a single-car crash on Long Lake Road early Wednesday morning.

Corporal Mark Gregory with the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office said the car was heading eastbound and the driver lost control while turning a corner.

The car went off the road, struck a tree and rolled. Both people inside the car suffered serious injuries.

Authorities are now investigating what caused the driver to lose control.

Traffic collision technicians will be on scene for a few hours. Long Lake Road is blocked in both directions and is expected to be closed for two to three hours.
