PULLMAN, Wash. — CJ Elleby drains a three-pointer with 5.4 seconds remaining to lift the Washington State Cougars to a 67-65 win over Arizona State Wednesday night in Pullman.

The Cougars led by as many as 15 points in the second half, but the Devils came back to take the lead with under 20 seconds remaining, that set up Elleby’s huge shot.

CJ Elleby led the way for the Cougars with 27 points and 12 rebounds.

The Sun Devils had a hard time with the WSU defense all night turning the ball over 21 times.

Washington State improves to 13-9, and 4-5 in the Pac-12 on the season.  The Cougars will host Arizona Saturday.
