SPOKANE, Wash. — Division Street has reopened between Boone and Cataldo Avenue after a car crash took down a power pole.

A pickup truck hit the power pole around 11:06 a.m., sending it crashing into the street. The downed pole caused power outages in the area for several hours.

Avista crews, Spokane Police and the Fire Department responded to the scene.

Police said the driver was arrested for driving under the influence.

All power is expected to be restored by 4 p.m.
