SPOKANE, Wash. — If you plan on traveling on I-90 and using the off-ramps to the Geiger/Grove Road interchange, you will need to make some changes to your commute.

WSDOT will be closing the eastbound and westbound off-ramps to the Geiger/Grove Road interchange Monday night for sign installation. The installation is part of the Geiger/Grove Road interchange improvements project.

Crews will begin sign installation on the eastbound off-ramp at 7 p.m. Monday night. Once they are done with the eastbound ramp, they will then work on the westbound ramp. WSDOT says they anticipate finishing work at around 6 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 24.

For both EB and WB closures, WSDOT says they’re encouraging drivers to use Exit 272, the Medical Lake/State Route 902 interchange or exit 277A to Garden Springs Road.

Drivers using Exit 272 can head north on SR 902 and turn right onto Geiger Boulevard to get back to the Geiger/Grove Road interchange.

Drivers who use the WB off-ramp to Garden Springs Road should turn left onto Garden Springs Road, then left onto Sunset Boulevard. After the left onto Sunset Boulevard, WSDOT says to follow the signs to Geiger Boulevard.

For people using the EB off-ramp to Garden Springs Road, WSDOT says you should turn north onto South Abbot Road and turn left onto Geiger Boulevard to reconnect with the interchange.
