Eastern preps for No. 7 Oregon, ex-teammate Adams

CHENEY, Wash. — After a rather abnormal off-season, it’s now time for the regular season for the Eastern Washington Eagles, but when they hit the field Saturday in Eugene, they’ll look across and see the reason for that abnormal off-season: Vernon Adams.
Adams threw for over 10,000 yards and 110 touchdowns in three seasons as the quarterback for the Eags. This spring, Adams transferred to Oregon and was named the team’s starter just last week.
