Stevens Pass closed in both directions

Stevens Pass closed once again Monday morning after intermittent closures over the weekend.

The closure was due to ‘adverse weather conditions,’ and downed trees, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.

Westbound traffic is stopped at the summit milepost 64. Eastbound traffic is stopped at milepost 32, just east of Gold Bar.

Vehicles at the summit can head east to Leavenworth to get off the pass if they choose. Check the latest pass conditions here.

US 2 Stevens Pass remains closed, but travelers who are stuck in the Skykomish area can make arrangements to wait until we are able to safely reopen the highway or can choose to travel east across Stevens Pass toward Leavenworth to get where they need to go.

Snoqualmie Pass was also closed Saturday and again on Sunday morning.
