Early Morning Apartment Fire In Chewelah
CHEWELAH, WA — An apartment fire broke out early Thursday morning in Chewelah, just north of Spokane.
When Stevens County fire fighters arrived at the complex at 3rd and Webster, an upper floor unit was fully engulfed. All residents made it out of the two-story building safely and firefighters were able to extinguish the flames.
The fire broke out just after midnight Wednesday and firefighters remained on scene well into the morning Thursday mopping up the scene and looking into what might have caused the blaze.
No injuries were reported.
