E. Idaho woman injured when train hits semitrailer
ST. ANTHONY, Idaho — An eastern Idaho woman sustained injuries after a train struck her tractor-trailer at a railroad crossing on U.S. Highway 20 near St. Anthony.
Idaho State Police say 52-year-old Lori Clark’s tractor-trailer stopped on the tracks Monday at about 5:15 p.m. and was struck by a southbound Eastern Idaho Railroad locomotive.
Police say Clark, of Arco, was transported to Madison Memorial Hospital. A hospital spokesman says she was treated and released.
Twenty-nine-year-old train engineer Henery Dannehl of Idaho Falls escaped injury.
Authorities are investigating the crash.
