E. Idaho police tracking leads in triple slaying
An eastern Idaho sheriff investigating the shooting deaths of two men and a woman at a residence says names found in records associated with a dogfighting business and a marijuana grow operation at the property could be helpful.
Oneida County Sheriff Jeff Semrad says robbery does not appear to be a motive in the slayings of 61-year-old Brent L. Christensen, 32-year-old Trent Jon Christensen and 27-year-old Yavette Chivon Carter.
He says cash and $95,000 in marijuana plants were in the house where the bodies were found Friday. An infant and a 2-year-old were unharmed.
Semrad said Sunday the names police have come across are not local, but are in other parts of southern Idaho and northern Utah.
The sheriff says 64 pit bulls at the property were used for fighting.
