Drifting snow closes SR 27 in Latah

The Washington State Department of Transportation closed a portion of State Route 27 Thursday morning in Latah due to drifting snow.

Video from Washington State Patrol Trooper Jeff Sevigney shows the dangerous conditions:

The closure is affecting the southbound lane of SR 27 at milepost 55.

WSDOT says it has crews working in the area and asks drivers to be patient as they clear the snow drifts.

There is no estimated time when the southbound lane of SR 27 will be reopened.
