Don’t leave valuable property in your car

SPOKANE, Wash. — Car-prowling continues to be a major concern in Spokane.
The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office issued a reminder to not leave property you want to keep in your vehicle.
Spokane officials continue to receive vehicle prowling reports of people who either forgot to remove items of value or decided to take the chance that no one would steal them.
The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office reviewed 15 randomly pulled vehicle prowling incidents reported in the last few days, and came up with a list of some of the items thieves stole from locked and unlocked vehicles.
The items included purses and wallets, debit and credit cards, social security cards, passports, driver’s licenses, cash, cell phones, I-Pads, laptops, stereos, GPS/navigation systems, binoculars, portable printers, keys, garage door openers, CDs, jewelry, vehicle registrations and other personal paperwork and items.
