Doctor’s license suspended after patient deaths
MARYSVILLE, Wash. — The medical license of a Marysville doctor accused of overmedicating her patients has been stripped following the deaths of two of her patients.
The state says that two of Ann Kammeyer’s patients died, one in February and the other in March, after the doctor’s mismanagement of prescriptions created an unreasonable risk of harm or death.
A sign on the front door of Kammeyer’s office Thursday said she is retiring and the office is now closed. Kammeyer told KING-TV (http://kng5.tv/1M1M1Bc ) she has no plans to appeal the state’s decision to suspend her license.
Kammeyer also denied any responsibility in her patients’ deaths.
