WENATCHEE, Wash. — A man suspected of assaulting a state trooper and eluding police in Wenatchee was arrested on Tuesday.

Deputies arrested 33-year-old Victor Dominguez in East Wenatchee for two warrants. One was for a Domestic Violence Court Order Violation, and the second was for third-degree assault.

The Columbia River Drug Task Force says Dominguez assaulted a Washington State Patrol Trooper during a traffic stop on October 5 and fled the scene. The Chelan County Sheriff’s Office also says Dominguez eluded police on October 11 and refused to stop.

Several law enforcement agencies surrounded Dominguez’s house, and he eventually surrendered.

He was booked for his warrants, along with eluding law enforcement and third-degree driving with a suspended license.
