INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — The undefeated run at their first national championship comes up one game short for Gonzaga who got bullied by the Baylor Bears falling 86-70 in title game.

The Zags trailed by double digits for nearly the entire game and every time they cut the lead, Baylor would push it back up.  It was Baylor’s night from the opening tip and they earned the national championship.

Jalen Suggs picked up two quick fouls in the first half but still led the offense with 22 points.

Baylor beat Gonzaga in nearly every statistical category, most notably on the boards.

The Bears came out absolutely on fire jumping out to a 17 point lead midway through the first half.  Baylor was knocking down threes and grabbing offensive rebounds, to the tune of putting up 16 more shots than the Zags through the first twenty minutes.
