CWU student describes scene as police search for active shooter

ELLENSBURG, WA — Central Washington University junior, Austin Lane, describes what he saw and heard as police searched the school’s campus in Ellensburg for a reported active shooter.

Around 7:30 Wednesday night, the school tweeted that the area had been searched and no shooter or victims had been found. CWU also tweeted that all buildings had been searched and the campus was “safe and all-clear.”
