Destroyed power pole

SPOKANE, Wash. — Northbound Crestline near Wellesley will be closed all day while Avista repairs a power pole.

The pole was destroyed in a large car collision, and shut down power in the area. Only minor injuries were reported.

According to Police, a truck was driving south on Crestline, ran a red light at Wellesley, and crashed into a car heading eastbound. The truck then went over a curb and into a power pole, shearing it from its base. Avista crews are on-scene, where they say the damage is extensive.

Northbound traffic has been shut down and could be blocked for up to eight hours as Avista crews repair the damage.
