Crash Ejects Two Near 21st & Glenrose

SPOKANE – One man is dead and a woman seriously injured when their motorcycle crashed near south Spokane on Thursday night.

The man has been identified as 37-year-old Christopher D. MacDonald of Spokane.

The crash was first reported just after 9:30 p.m., when a woman reported hearing a crash and seeing two people being ejected. When Spokane County sheriff’s deputies and crews from Spokane County Fire District #8 arrived, they found two people in a field and a motorcycle on its side.

Investigators say the motorcycle was going at speed up to 100 miles per hour going northbound on Glenrose before the crash.  MacDonald failed to navigate a corner and crashed.  It isn’t known whether the brakes were applied before the crash.

MacDonald was declared dead at the scene of the crash, while the woman was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries.
