Craft beer with care: For the Love of God Brewing now open in Audubon neighborhood

For the Love of God Brewing will open in July in Spokane's Audubon neighborhood.

Spokane’s Audubon neighborhood is now home to the Inland Northwest’s newest brewery.

Steve Moss started as a homebrewer about six years ago. He grew to love the craft and began sharing his concoctions with friends. That is when he decided to take his hobby to the next level and open a brick and mortar brewery.

For the Love of God Brewing is located at 2617 W Northwest Boulevard, just a few blocks southeast of Downriver Grill and the Flying Goat.

Moss said the name came to him about a year and a half ago. He said it just popped into his head, but he started to like it the more he thought about it.

Moss was raised in the church, but the meaning behind the brewery’s name isn’t necessarily religious. He said he is a firm believer in simply treating others well and creating a product that is made with care.

“I still think in a way where you’re supposed to be loving and caring in everything you do,” said Moss. “The most important thing in your day-to-day life should be to treat others with respect.”

Moss said For the Love of God Brewing will specialize in fruited IPAs and sour beers. He said he is also working on an imperial stout.

Drinkers will also be able to enjoy a variety of small plates and appetizers to share.
