Cougs ready to play in SoFi Stadium
INGLEWOOD, Calif. — SoFi Stadium is the home to the NFL’s Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers.
Saturday it’ll be home to the Washington State Cougars.
WSU is taking on Fresno State in the Jimmy Kimmel LA Bowl on Saturday at SoFi Stadium.
“Just being able to take it all in and being able to prepare the right way to go try to beat a good Fresno State team that’s coming off a Mountain West Championship,” WSU quarterback Cameron Ward said. “It’s going to be a fun game, being able to play in an NFL stadium is something we all dream of one day. I’m just excited for it.”
The 4.9 billion dollar venue opened in 2020.
Since then, SoFi Stadium has held a Super Bowl, stadium concert tours and will host the 2023 College Football Playoff National Championship game in January.
“A lot of guys on this team are working to get to that level,” WSU running back Nakia Watson said. “Just being able to experience a gameday atmosphere in a stadium like that is super exciting.”
Kickoff for the LA Bowl is set for 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
