Cougs Getting Ready For Tournament
Now that the drama of Selection Sunday is over, it’s time to get to work. For the Washington State Cougars, that doesn’t leave much time before they head to Denver.
The Cougars practiced Monday and then again Tuesday morning in Pullman, before they hit the road. The Cougars, as a four seed, are the team to beat to get to the sweet 16. The one message head coach Tony Bennett will have for his team the next two days — the next game, could be your last.
“Now it’s, especially for the seniors, boy, you loose this thing, we go home, and for some of those, you’re done, and a great career will be over, so let’s take this things as deep as we can,” Bennett said.
Cougars are up against Winthrop in the first round – a Thursday game in Denver. It’s the first time in school history the Cougars have made the tournament in back-to-back seasons.
