Wsu Defeats Unlv Advances To Second Round
WSU defeats UNLV, advances to second round of NCAA Tournament.

SAN DIEGO, Calif. — Washington State volleyball defeated UNLV in straight sets (26-24, 25-19, 25-18) to advance to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

Pia Timmer led the way for WSU with 14 kills.

Argentina Ung had a team-high 31 assists.

The Cougars are making their seventh consecutive tournament appearance.

WSU will take on the winner of the match between San Diego and Northern Colorado at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
