Coronavirus investigation prompts Colville School District to close Monday

COLVILLE, Wash.–All classes are cancelled for the Colville School District Monday due to an ongoing Coronavirus investigation.
The district made the announcement Sunday to temporarily close all Colville School District Schools. The decision was made in consultation with the NE Tri County Health Officer and Tri County Health Department, according to a press release.
The release said that there is a person under investigation for COVID-19. The information shared by the district did not say who that person is or what that person’s connection is to the school district, if any. The district said school will be closed until the test results are returned. Testing could take between one and three days.
There will be no spring sports, field trips, zero hour preschool or other school activities allowed during this time.
The district said it will provide an update as soon as possible.
