Construction Season Heats Up This Week
SPOKANE — As the weather heats up, construction season does also and drivers can expect delays on many roadways this season.
Drivers could experience delays on Appleway Avenue between Park and University. The shoulders and possibly one other lane will close from 7:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. during the week of the 13th for installation of traffic control signals.
The Barker Road Bridge will also remain closed throughout the summer for construction.
Wellesley Avenue and Belt Street will receive signal upgrades. Construction is set to begin Monday, April 13th. The project will replace the existing traffic signal and add a left turn lane.
Additional upgrades will be made to streets including crack sealing, sweeping and pothole repair.
