MEAD, Wash. — When Jaden Baer found out he had an inoperable brain tumor, he responded with grace.

Instead of dwelling on the cruel diagnosis, the local 16-year-old chose to live his life to the fullest by crossing everything off of his bucket list.

Now, his community is lifting him up and helping him cross off items one by one.

4 News Now first told you about Baer a few days ago. Since the story aired, reporter Elenee Dao has been flooded with messages asking how people across the Inland Northwest can help Baer complete his list.

Four people have offered to help Baer shoot a sniper rifle. Two others offered to fly his friend up to Spokane. Safeway and Albertson’s offered to donate food for a gathering with his friends and family.

Baer said some of his other goals are lofty, like getting the chance to meet his favorite YouTuber Jacksepticeye. But, nothing is impossible.

The YouTube sensation tweeted at Dao when he saw a tweet about Baer and said he will do his best to make something happen.

As Baer completes his list, the community continues to find other ways to support him. A spaghetti feed and silent auction are set for to raise money for Baer’s family. Donated items are still needed. Meantime, Bigalow Gulp Espresso will donate all proceeds from sales on March 14.
