Colville School District to remain closed Wednesday as person is tested for coronavirus

COLVILLE, Wash. — All schools in the Colville School District will remain closed Wednesday as the district awaits results for someone being tested for COVID-19.

Springs sports, field trips, zero-hour preschool and any other school activities have also been canceled for the time being.

The District made the initial announcement Sunday with the Tri County Health Department.

In an update sent to parents on Tuesday, the district said spring sports will only continue if they receive a negative test result by noon on Wednesday.

Schools were closed Monday while the district waited for test results from the person, which they say could take between one and three days.
