Cold, fog and flurries in the forecast – Kris

What we’re tracking

We are tracking areas of freezing fog and snow flurries over the next three days.  In addition, we are also closely tracking an arctic front that will impact much of the country starting the second half of the weekend, however, tremendous uncertainty in the computer models is making it difficult to pinpoint how severely it will affect the Inland Northwest.

4 Things To Know

Plan your Thursday

I’m thankful for Christmas lights these days! They provide some needed cheer during the darkest, grayest time of the year.  Keep that in mind as you slog through another very overcast and foggy day on Thursday. Expect temperatures in the teens and low 20s to start the day.  Highs will top out in the mid to upper 20s. There’s the potential for some freezing fog in the morning, and you might also encounter a few snow flurries.

Spokane and Coeur d’Alene forecast

Fog and low clouds will dominate our weather pattern through Saturday, but then there is a fork in the road of our forecast. There are three possible scenarios for next week, and each one is wintry. There will be some snow and it will be cold, but how cold and how much snow is still a work in progress.
