Coeur d’Alene superintendent accepts new position
COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho — District 271 Superintendent Matt Handelman has accepted a position with Evergreen Public Schools.
The Board officially accepted the resignation on Friday.
Handelman will continue to serve as Superintendent until April 30, and will provide consulting and related services to the District through the remainder of the 2017 fiscal year.
Dr. Trina Caudle, the current Director of Seconday Education, will assume the responsibilities of the Superintendent during this transition period on an interim basis.
“I want to thank the board, district and community for the opportunity to serve this amazing school district and community. The Coeur d’Alene School District will always hold a special place in my heart and I will continue to support the great people of the district however I can as I transition to an exciting new professional opportunity,” said Handelman.
