Clouds and rain coming back on Friday – Matt

What we’re tracking:
Futuretrack Snap

A series of storms will swing across the Inland Northwest in the next three days, each bringing a chance for some soggy weather. Rain will cross the Cascades overnight and soak the northern mountains while only delivering light rain into the Spokane-Coeur d’Alene metro around midday. A second thrust of rain will get the weekend started over the Palouse and L-C Valley. Finally, the third opportunity for rain comes Sunday evening for most of the region.

Plan your Friday

We will start the day gloomy, breezy, and mild in the low 40s. We’ll see wet weather around midday that won’t last for more than an hour or two. We might even see the sun come out briefly before dusk in the afternoon. Highs will hit the 50s for the second day in a row.

Plans Friday

Spokane and Coeur d’Alene forecast

Rain should stay sound of the metro on Saturday, though you shouldn’t rule out an isolated sprinkle. Temperatures stay milder in the 40s and 50s through the weekend. Rain returns to the I-90 corridor late Sunday afternoon and will continue through Halloween. First Alert: Colder weather is coming next week which could lead to some more widespread wintry conditions.
