Cheney HS teacher among 30 winners of Norwegian Cruise Line campaign

MIAMI — On Wednesday, Norwegian Cruise Line announced the final list of winners resulting from their Giving Joy campaign. And one of the winners is none other than a Cheney High School teacher.
From March 12 to April 12, Norwegian Cruise Line received nominations and votes from all around the world to recognize and reward educators in the U.S. and Canada.
Throughout the course of a month, the Giving Joy campaign generated over 2 million votes and 12,000 nominations. Among these nominations, the following 30 winners were chosen for their inspiring stories and outstanding work they’ve done in their classrooms to celebrate and educate students on the joy of travel and education.

The winners will be rewarded with a seven-day cruise for two and accommodations and airfare to attend the award ceremony taking place in Seattle on May 3, 2019, where three grand prize winners will win $10,000, $15,000 or $25,000 towards their respective schools.
