CDA Woman Sentenced For Lewd Conduct With Teen
COEUR D’ALENE — The Coeur d’Alene mother of four who was arrested after having sex with a 14-year-old boy last fall was sentenced in court Friday after pleading guilty to a lewd conduct charge.
Alanna Martin, 28, was arrested in Tacoma where she had driven the teen after the sexual encounter in North Idaho last November. In all she will serve just a few more months behind bars and five years supervised probation, a sentence the victim’s family calls a slap on the wrist for a crime that has been so devastating.
During her hearing Friday Martin smiled as she was handed her sentence.
“I see no remorse, I don’t see her sorry for anything that went on,” Judy Hatfield, the victim’s mother, said.
As for Hatfield’s son who Martin victimized, he is now living in the Midwest with his father.
“I’m angry, I’m very angry that she just turned our family upside down,” Hatfield said.
Lewd Conduct is a felony and punishable with a sentence that could lead up to life in prison but because Martin has no felony criminal history the state recommend a lower sentence.
Martin will now have to register as a sex offender.
